Neil Spencer Bruce is a guitarist, composer, sound designer, producer, engineer and educator. Neil has been playing for over 30 years and has been fortunate enough to have gigged around the world and had his guitar playing featured on numerous recordings, TV and film and corporate jingles. Neil has an extensive educational background, including a B.Eng (Hons) in Electroacoustics (University of Salford), Diplomas’ in Music (Open University), Media Composition (Film institute of LA) and PhD on Soundscapes. (University of Salford).
Neil completed both the Specialist Blues, Rock and Jazz Guitar and General Music (including Steve Vai guitar Module) Certificate Program at Berklee. He also writes and films guitar lessons and gear reviews as part of this blog and on YouTube. Neil has written and published a book on creativity and guitar playing, entitled ‘Guitar Creativity – a new way of thinking‘.
Neil offers a wide range of guitar and music technology lessons either in person or via Skype. Guitar lessons tend to focus on finding a student’s own personality in their playing and on the instrument, as well as core technical and theoretical skills.
Lessons are offered on an hourly basis, with a special offer on booking a course of 10 lessons, where you get two lessons free.
